Mario Hernández Ramos is a Full Professor of Constitutional Law at the Complutense University of Madrid (Spain). Previously, he was a full professor at the University of Salamanca (Spain), where he obtained his PhD with the Extraordinary Prize and Doctor Europeus Mention. There he headed for 10 years the Master in Democracy and Good Governance (LLM) and the research line “Democracy, good governance and multilevel protection of rights” in the PhD in Rule of Law and Global Governance.

Between 2018 and 2021 he worked as a legal advisor at the Ministry of Justice of the Government of Spain in the Cabinet of the Minister, in the Secretariat of State, and in the Directorate General of International Legal Cooperation and Human Rights.

Since its creation in 2019, he has been the head of the Spanish delegation to the Artificial Intelligence Committee of the Council of Europe, where he has coordinated several working groups on Artificial Intelligence, human rights, the rule of law, and democracy.

His main lines of research are Constitutional Law and new technologies, especially artificial intelligence;
